Input:16/32 CVBS inputs
Stream output: 1 MPTS out through 2 ASI output ports
Encoding: MPEG4 AVC/H.264
Outline
STHD-5708B multi-channel encoder is our newest professional SD audio& video encoding and multiplexing device with powerful functionality. It adopts the slot structure with one device supporting maximum 2 STHD-5708B modules. Each module can support 16channels and work stand alone. It is equipped with 16/32 CVBS channels input. It can multiplex the 16/32 encoded TS to generate an MPTS and 16/32 SPTS output through GE output port and one MPTS output through 2ASI output ports. In conclusion, its high integration, and cost-effective design make this device widely used in a variety of digital distribution systems such as CATV digital head-end, satellite and terrestrial digital TV, etc.

How to choose MPEG2 or H.264 Encoder?
MPEG-2 (a.k.a. H.222/H.262 as was defined by the ITU) is a standard for "the generic coding of moving pictures and associated audio information".
H.264: Advanced Video Coding (AVC), MPEG-4 Part 10, is a video compression standard based on block-oriented, motion-compensated coding. The intent of the H.264/AVC project was to create a standard capable of providing good video quality at substantially lower bit rates than previous standards. It is by far the most commonly used format for the recording, compression, and distribution of video content, used by 91% of video industry developers as of September 2019. It supports resolutions up to and including 8K UHD.
However, using mpeg2 or h.264 encoder is depended on whether the end users of your project decoder( STB, smart TV) format is mpeg2 or h.264.We need to maintain the compatibility of front-end equipment and end-users.
