STMQ-80016 4 Tuner to 4 DVB-C coax RF modulator integrates demodulation, trans-mux and modulation (DVB-C, DVB-T, ISDB-T or ATSC optional) in one case to convert satellite signals into digital RF output. Its pluggable structure design greatly facilitates the change of modules (RF/HDMI/CVBS/SDI/YPbPr/…) as needed. The unit in this sheet is a 1-U case that supports 4 DVB-S/S2 RF inputs with 4 CAMs/CI accompanied to descramble the encrypted satellite signals. The CAM requires NO unsightly external power cords, cables, or additional remote control devices.

To meet customers’ various requirements, this catv moduator is also equipped with 1 ASI input, and output with 2 ASI ports and 1 UDP IP port. The output modulated signals are to be received by TVs, STB and etc with corresponding standard.

How many input tuners do you need?

we suggest:

1. Check which frequency points to the encrypted programs you needed from. And how many frequency points do your programs need to use?

   One frequency point needs to use one tuner

2. Check whether the frequency point just included less than 8 of the encrypted channels.

   If there are more than 8 encrypted channels in one frequency point For every more than 8 channels, a tuner needs to be added.

3. If you also need to receive free, non-encrypted programs. It is better to choose the ST3380-A FTA satellite gateway with more cost-effectiveness.

   If the signal source is free, we choose the FTA tuner to modulator with more cost-effective.
